Banks

Four banks are represented on campus in the form of ATM's and one branch office. Four ATMs are located on campus near the Price Center. An additional two ATMs are located in the Student Center. USE credit Union has a branch office and ATM located in the Gilman Parking Structure.

Most banks in the area make an effort to get the student dollar during the first few weeks of Fall quarter. They typically man booths on campus and offer special student banking plans and incentives if you sign up "right now". Watch out: Some of these plans offer only limited access to your funds during summer, and are thus more suited to undergrads.

• Bank of America, La Jolla Village Center. This bank has branches everywhere.
• Washington Mutual, 7728 Regents Road in Vons Shopping center. Some claim this has less hidden fees and hassle than other banks and that the people are nicer.
• USE Credit Union, (on campus) 3100 Gilman Dr. La Jolla, CA 92037. [phone]. This credit union is for University and State Employees. Some people really like this one, but it seems like they have less branches than their competitors. They do however allow ATM withdraws from almost all 7-Elevens with no fees from either side.
• Wells Fargo Bank, 8657 Villa La Jolla Dr. Ste 201, La Jolla, CA 92037 [phone], [phone] (24 hour). This also seems to have branches everywhere, including one inside the local Ralphs.
