UCSD recently hired the research firm Stamats to help identify one
singular campus message that would be used in all marketing and
communications to the outside world. This is a major first step in
branding UC San Diego and developing a recognizable identity that fits
all facets of the university. The next step will be hiring a creative
marketing firm to develop the creative elements of the message campaign.
YOUR ASSISTANCE IS NEEDED in focus groups to test the recommended
messaging Stamats has developed based on numerous surveys and external
polling to a variety of local and national audiences. Please RSVP to
Cynthia Davalos in the Vice Chancellor-Student Affairs Office if you are
able to participate. Details follow. A maximum of 10 people are
needed. The grad voice is critical to this campus initiative.
