Barebones Quickstart guide to Create/Edit Pages

First, you must be registered to create and edit pages in this Site. Once registered, simply click on the edit button at the bottom of the page you wish to edit. This will open an editor with a toolbar pallette with options. This is the editor allows you to make changes to the current page. If you want to just play around with the editor to get a feel how to make a page, try it out the sandbox.

To create a new page use this box. It will take you directly to the editor of the page you just created. Make sure the page you want to create doesn't already exist before you create a new page

You can also creat a new page from a page's editor. To do this, create a link to a new page in the editor. Use the syntax: [[[new page name]]] or [[[new page name | text to display]]]. Exit the editor and follow the new link on the page and create a new page and edit it! (Links are normally blue, they are gray if the page does not exist.)

If you do not want to be linked to the page you created the link from, simply go back to that page, click the editor button and erase the link you just made. Your page will still exist. Check our creating a page tutorial for helpful info to help you create great pages! Also, check out helpful editing tips on the user-created editing reference guide.

Although creating and editing pages is easy, there are a lot more options that enable creating powerful sites. Please visit Documentation pages for more helpful ideas. There are lots of tips, tricks, and tools from the creator of wikidot and other wikidot users.
