Several theaters offer student pricing on selected movies.

- On campus, cheap tickets

- Semi-independent movie theater, very close, student discounted tickets except for Fri and Sat.

- Mainstream movie theater, entrance inside the mall. Student discounts.
- AMC Fashion Valley 18 - 7037 Friars Rd., San Diego, CA 92108 - 858.558.2AMC (Fashion Valley Mall)

- A large mainstream theater, supposedly nicer than AMC La Jolla.

- A nice large theater in Mera Mesa
- Landmark Ken - 4061 Adams Avenue, San Diego, CA 92116 - 619.819.0236 (Kensington)
- It's a bit of a drive but well worth it for this small independent theater. Probably the most independent of the three Landmark theaters, they have only one theater. They change movies every week, and the season's schedule can be picked up various places (such as around campus). The recently (summer 2004) got new seats, supposedly, thought I haven't experienced this firsthand.

- Another fairly independent Landmark theater.
- Balboa Park - Balboa Park
- The Museum of Photographic Art supposedly shows movies regularly. In addition, during the summer the park also shows classic movies one day a week outside on the lawn - show up early and bring a picnic.
- Other Theaters - Various locations
- There certainly are more movie theaters scattered around, including some nice ones downtown and a drivein somewhere. Look them up if this list isn't enough to hold you.
