UCSD Free Bus Sticker

With a sticker from the parking office, you can use your campus ID to gain limited free access to the San Diego public transit system. In the past, the sticker could only be used within a "free zone" around the campus and you would have to get off the bus or pay after traveling out of that zone. Recently, this was changed so that you can the available routes to end of the line and back. The routes that you can take with the sticker are:

3: Goes between the Hillcrest Medical Center and downtown.

30: Goes between UTC and Downtown. Stops on campus, downtown La Jolla, Pacific Beach, Point Loma, and Old Town along the way.

41: Goes between the VA Hospital and Fashion Valley mall. There is a stop for this route near the Mesa Graduate Housing on the corner of Regents Rd and La Jolla Village Dr. This route takes you to Henry's, Target, Home Depot, the Department of Motor Vehicles and other useful places.

101: Between Oceanside and UTC. Travels along Coastal Highway 101, a beautiful ride. Stops in the coastal areas of Del Mar, Encinitas, Carlsbad, Leucadia, Cardiff-by-the-Sea, Windansea and others. Also, stops at the Torrey Pines Nature Reserve/Beach, where there are nice hiking trails.

150: Goes Between UTC and Downtown. An express route that runs weekdays during business hours. MUCH faster than the route 30.

921: Between UTC and Mira Mesa. Makes stops on Miramar Rd.
